what a fantastic weekend.
i love family time, not matter how short it may be, i'm grateful for every minute.
bright and early saturday morning, bub-hub and i headed down i-45 to dallas. first, we stopped by my parent's house to watch to texas tech game with my dad. wreck em! :)
they dominated. my brother sent my photos of him and his fraternity brothers rushing the field.
#raiderpower
why yes, my family does have a life sized knight in our entry way, and yes, he has game day fever. doesn't everyone?
after the game, we headed over to bub-hub's parent's house to set up for a party in honor of my sister-in-law's engagement!!!
woohooo!!
isn't she the most beautiful lady!?
she is going to be the most beautiful bride. no doubt.
we had so much fun celebrating with their friends and family.
such a happy time for such a fantastic couple!
sunday, after church and a yummy lunch at our favorite mexican food restaurant, we came back to bub-hub's parent's house to take a nap watch the cowboys, before heading back to h-town.
on the drive, i taught bub-hub all about the different types of clouds, played dj, and of course, we stopped at sonic.
duh.
this was such a fantastic weekend of celebration, minus the cowboys losing.
here's to hopes for a marvelous monday! :)
p.s. don't forget to sign up for the sweet treats swap!
I am kind of jealous how much fun you always seem to have on the weekends! And I love that your parents have a life sized knight dressed up in game day attire!
ReplyDeleteToo, too fun! And I totally agree - I LOVE Sunday football because it's the perfect excuse for a nap! (Particularly this season... our poor Cowboys are sure having a rough go of it!)
ReplyDeleteSuch a frustrating end to the cowboys game! I'm not a fan but my roommate is and he was DYING. but sounds like an awesome weekend otherwise :)
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all had a great weekend! That knight dressed in the Red Raider jersey is too funny! Although I am a Sooner, I was excited to see that win for Texas Tech!
ReplyDeleteSO MUCH FUN!
ReplyDeleteYour weekends are always packed full! I love it! :)
I LOVE that you have a knight in your foyer, that is seriously awesome!
I feel completely out of the loop with football...we don't have cable so i never watch any games haha.
Instead you can find me curled up on the couch watching The Vampire Diaries, or something similar :) ha.
And YAY on engagements! THat is awesome
I love the knight! Love love love him!

ReplyDeleteI thought of you yesterday when the Cowboys played the Ravens! Walker is an ex-Cowboys fan, so he was stressed out the entire day, but I was pleased with the outcome :)
